Camino Man is a one-man show about the time Steve Wilson walked across the north coast of Spain on the Camino del Norte, one of the Camino de Santiago pilgrim trails in Europe.

Told through story and slideshow Wilson shares his tale of meeting a number of people on the way who help him make sense of his experiences of becoming single, losing his job, and being physically assaulted while walking home one afternoon.

As Wilson says, “It’s a show about discovering your smile, finding love, saying sorry, and finding peace all while walking across an entire country!”

“Great, Heartfelt Storytelling About Travel, Perspective & Connection”

“Unflinchingly honest look into human trauma and redemption. I left feeling moved and wanting to book a flight to Spain to take the trail myself. I definitely recommend”

“Really lovely nicely told story of one person’s Camino. Started to question my habits and behaviour and realised I want to and need to do this walk”

Get your skates on, Maynard presents XANADU

Maynard presents the second greatest musical from 1980, Xanadu.
Pre screening from 7.30pm of my mini epic "Beyond Xanadu" from my ONJ tribute show. I will try to explain the film and I will undoubtably fail. Bit of a quiz, lo-fi but unique prizes a possibility. Scholars of Ancient Greek mythology will be bewildered and confused but potentially entertained. Completely legit legal disclaimer: The floor is concrete, but the carpet and stairs may discourage actual skates. $10 at the door.

Mal Webb is a truly unique and innovative songwriter who has been performing his songs around the world for more than 20 years. Kylie Morrigan joined him about 8 years ago.
They are always entertaining and joyful, with songs that delve deeply into a broad range of subjects from science and sustainability to philosophy and beyond.
Vocal adventurer, multi-instrumentalist and looping beatboxing songwriter Mal sings his brain provoking songs with guitar, mbira, slide trumpet, trombone and loopers. Kylie (who's played with Orchestra Victoria, Stevie Wonder and Barry White!) provides violin and voice in perfect balance to Mal's nutsness. Imagine Einstein, Dr Seuss and Paganini making pancakes.
"You're a freak"-Ani DiFranco.
"That's brilliant arranging!"-Simon Jeffes (Penguin Cafe).
"Absolutely superb!" -Frank Woodley

Or:
Vocal adventurer, multi-instrumentist and looping beatboxing songwriter Mal sings his brain provoking songs using all sorts of vocal techniques, guitar, mbira, slide trumpet, trombone, chromatic harmonica and a loop recording pedal called Derek. And Kylie (who's played with Orchestra Victoria and the likes of Stevie Wonder and Barry White!) provides violin and voice in a perfect balance to Mal's nutsness.
Their arrangements are intricate and playful. Imagine Einstein, Dr Seuss and Paganini making pancakes. Ebulliently eclectic. Nefariously varied. Family fun free from facile frippery. Their music stomps all over stylistic boundaries. It's as grittily human as it is other worldly, as clever as it is stupid, as playful as it is ponderous. Ballads, beatbox and beyond. Eclectic, ebullient and even educational.
