A Night of Acoustic Guitar TWO AUSTRALIAN GUITAR VIRTUOSOS – ONE NIGHT ONLY This one-night-only collaboration brings together two young Australian guitar virtuosos, Jordan Brodie and Elias Bartholomeo, to showcase the boundless possibilities of one guitar and a vivid imagination. Featuring a captivating blend of blues, jazz, folk, country, and original compositions, the performance masterfully walks a tightrope of genres, highlighting both solo artistry and dynamic duets. Audiences worldwide are captivated by the creativity and endless energy these two artists bring, making this much more than just a night of acoustic guitar. Jordan Brodie Award-winning guitarist and composer Jordan Brodie is celebrated as one of Australia’s finest young guitarists. Known for his remarkable fingerstyle technique—playing the bass, rhythm, and melody simultaneously—along with exceptional songwriting and captivating storytelling, he has been hailed as “the future of acoustic guitar playing in Australia.” Audiences have consistently praised Jordan for the soulful depth, remarkable variety, and outstanding technical proficiency displayed throughout his music. Whether he's delivering soul-stirring ballads, sentimental interpretations of Disney classics, drawing inspiration from Australian landscapes, or infectious melodies of gypsy jazz, he consistently weaves compelling storytelling into his performances. Beyond being a performer, Jordan also embraces his role as a passionate educator, eagerly sharing valuable insights about the guitar with his audience. The result is a performance that ensures there's something to captivate every listener, from budding guitarists to music lovers. His latest album, Riff Raff, highlights his playful side, while his global tours—spanning Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond—have cemented his reputation as an emerging master of the guitar. Performance highlights include the 2024 Germany Guitar Tour with Micha Kern and the 2022 Acoustic Guitar Spectacular Tour with virtuoso Michael Fix. Elias Bartholomeo Elias Bartholomeo is a solo fingerstyle guitarist from Sydney, Australia, who's playing has been described as "walking a tightrope between many genres all at once." On countless occasions, he has been described as a fearless and energetic guitar player that captures audiences, big or small with just a guitar. Starting his musical journey at just four years old under the guidance of his grandfather, Elias was immersed in the sounds of Jerry Reed, The Shadows, Chet Atkins, and Tommy Emmanuel. Despite being self-taught and unable to read music, he developed his craft through ear training and collaboration with other musicians. At 16, Elias realized a dream by performing alongside Tommy Emmanuel at the Maui Cultural Arts Centre in Hawaii, an experience that fueled his passion for music. Over the years, he has collaborated with musicians from around the world, continually expanding his musical repertoire. In recent years, Elias has toured extensively across Australia, building a strong reputation in the live music and guitar community. He has performed at festivals, theaters, and halls, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other notable guitarists. This concert is a guaranteed source of awe and anticipation, promising an unforgettable musical experience. With captivating performances and a wide array of styles, this event ensures there's something for every listener. Don't miss this rare opportunity to witness two emerging masters of the guitar! Online tickets available HERE

Flushed by twelve years of sold out successes from Edinburgh to Adelaide to Toronto, comes Miss Ashton’s collaboration with Jane Austen (deceased). In 2025 Penny is celebrating the 250th anniversary of our lady Jane Austen’s birth by rattling her airborne carriage across the Tasman Sea to Australiashire.    Join Elspeth as she battles literary snobbery, cousin Horatio’s digestions and her mother’s nerves, armed only with a blushing countenance, excellent ukulele skills and being quite bright, you know… for a girl.

In this hilarious, one-(freakishly talented)-woman show, Penny tackles all of Austen’s characters with song, dance and appalling cross-stitching.

Having been performed over 600 times, Promise and Promiscuity has sold out audiences in six countries and gathered a veritable slew of awards and glowing reviews in its musical bonnet.

MAL WEBB and KYLIE MORRIGAN
Thurs 21st August  7pm $25

Mal Webb is a truly unique and innovative songwriter who has been performing his songs around the world for more than 20 years. Kylie Morrigan joined him about 8 years ago.
They are always entertaining and joyful, with songs that delve deeply into a broad range of subjects from science and sustainability to philosophy and beyond.
Vocal adventurer, multi-instrumentalist and looping beatboxing songwriter Mal sings his brain provoking songs with guitar, mbira, slide trumpet, trombone and loopers. Kylie (who's played with Orchestra Victoria, Stevie Wonder and Barry White!) provides violin and voice in perfect balance to Mal's nutsness. Imagine Einstein, Dr Seuss and Paganini making pancakes.
"You're a freak"-Ani DiFranco.
"That's brilliant arranging!"-Simon Jeffes (Penguin Cafe).
"Absolutely superb!" -Frank Woodley

Or:
Vocal adventurer, multi-instrumentist and looping beatboxing songwriter Mal sings his brain provoking songs using all sorts of vocal techniques, guitar, mbira, slide trumpet, trombone, chromatic harmonica and a loop recording pedal called Derek. And Kylie (who's played with Orchestra Victoria and the likes of Stevie Wonder and Barry White!) provides violin and voice in a perfect balance to Mal's nutsness.
Their arrangements are intricate and playful. Imagine Einstein, Dr Seuss and Paganini making pancakes. Ebulliently eclectic. Nefariously varied. Family fun free from facile frippery. Their music stomps all over stylistic boundaries. It's as grittily human as it is other worldly, as clever as it is stupid, as playful as it is ponderous. Ballads, beatbox and beyond. Eclectic, ebullient and even educational.
